About Nagymaros
Our holiday home is located in the charming village of Nagymaros, beautifully situated on the Danube in the Danube Bend region. This quiet place is known for its relaxed atmosphere, beautiful riverbanks, and impressive views of the hills and the historic Visegrád Castle across the river. In Nagymaros, you can enjoy lovely walks along the Danube, indulge in cozy cafes and restaurants, or head into nature in the surrounding hills of the Börzsöny Mountains. The village is an ideal spot for peace seekers, hikers, and cyclists. From Nagymaros, you can easily take the ferry to Visegrád to discover the medieval castle and the beautiful view over the Danube. Other beautiful places in the region are also easily accessible, such as Szentendre, Vac, Esztergom and, of course, the bustling capital, Budapest. Nagymaros is therefore the perfect combination of nature, culture, and relaxation – a wonderful place to spend some time.

Cherry Tree Tanya is located in the charming village center of Nagymaros, an atmospheric place on the Danube in the beautiful Danube Bend region. From the cottage, you can walk to the Danube bank in just a few minutes, where you can enjoy the view of the river and the historic town of Visegrád on the opposite bank. In the village, you will find everything within walking distance: cozy restaurants and cafes, an ice cream parlor, a supermarket, a bakery, and a greengrocer. Furthermore, on Saturdays, there is a small organic market featuring local products.
